Hand-painted Photography Backdrop for Portrait Sessions at Danielle Sara Photography

Here are the final results of my very first hand-painted photography backdrop in action!

I do not consider myself someone who can paint or draw (stick figures are my go-to!). But painting is something I have been wanting to try as a different creative outlet.  With a little encouragement, tips, and inspiration from fellow photographer friends, I gave this a shot. I stepped outside of my comfort zone and took a risk knowing it could end up a complete disaster. I’m pretty happy with the results, even if it’s not perfect, definitely not straight, a lot of paint was wasted, and my 20 month old daughter was not a very cooperative model!  Maybe I’ll even paint another one 🙂

This backdrop will be available to use with all future sessions at the studio and will definitely be making an appearance again during Cherry Blossom season next Spring!
