Maryland Newborn Studio Family Photographer | Newborn Baby Boy

Look at this hair! This handsome guy was born with enough dark, thick hair to have a little hairstyle going on for his newborn portraits. He was just the cutest thing. Little man was five weeks old during the shoot. Mom was a little worried that we missed the typical ‘newborn’ stage for portraits (around two weeks), but I assured her that we can create beautiful portraits at any age—after all, her baby is the subject. All we need is a baby to cuddle with, and we’re good to go. No matter the stage or phase your baby is in, we strive to capture those sweet little features so you can remember how tiny they were. As we all know, time goes faster than we think.

Sweet and Snuggly

This sweet blessing showed off for us. He stayed awake for the first half of the session, looking at us with his dark, handsome eyes. He looked like a serious-posing model. We captured a few simple ones of him snuggling in white linens and a furry blanket, and then I took some of baby boy swaddled up with his tiny toes peeking out the bottom. I must’ve done a good job with my swaddling skills (I get to practice all the time!) because his eyes suddenly grew heavy with sleep, and he drifted off to dreamland. Since we were in the holiday season, his Mom and Dad brought the most adorable wintery-designed pajamas for baby and matching ones for themselves too. It was so cute!

His parents loved our gold leaf background so much they ordered a gorgeous framed picture of it for their home. It’s been a favorite this season!

Needless to say, the photos came out perfectly with this sweet guy as the star of the show. I know he’ll grow so fast, but no matter his age, he’ll always remain his parents’ little baby boy.

If you or someone you know is expecting, please do send them my way!  Photographing newborns are one of my favorites so I am so grateful for the referrals.  Click here to get in touch!
