Welcoming Ana Brandt | A Newborn Workshop at Danielle Sara Photography
I firmly believe that the best way to renew passion and extend expertise is to keep on learning. No one – no matter the years of experience or level of proficiency – has acquired all the knowledge there is to know in their industry. We can all keep getting better, and we should! Not only do our clients deserve the very best, but we also owe it to ourselves to keep challenging ourselves and striving for more – to be the best we can possibly be. And that changes from year to year. Hopefully, this year’s best is even better than last year’s best.
I’m always looking for opportunities to learn from other professional photographers, especially when it comes to maternity, newborn, and family photography. And I want others to do the same. Recently, I welcomed celebrity photographer Ana Brandt to the studio! She hosted one of her famous newborn photography clinics to a group of local photographers and shared her knowledge and experience openly with us all. She is one of the most creative, inspirational photographers I know, and I could not wait to work with and learn from her!
She brought an entire suitcase full of her own props and products to the studio all the way from California. It was so fun to play with and watch her style! A group of photographers came ready to learn baby safety, tips, angles, technique and more. We photographed a diverse group of 9 precious babies, and it was so much fun! All of the little newborns were happy and relaxed and snoozed through their modeling debut. Ana’s classic photography style is just beautiful. I have been incorporating many of her techniques and tips into my own newborn sessions and the results are wonderful. I even got myself a yoga ball to bounce on during sessions :)
Learning from other is something that has helped me run a successful portrait photography studio for 10 years. I never stop learning and educating myself on photography and business. I am passionate about helping others do the same. I offer mentoring sessions to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of photography, business, editing, marketing, studio lighting, and more. Mentoring sessions are flexible and crafted to best fit YOU. Please visit my education page to learn more about the types of mentoring options offered.
