Baby Boy Cake Smash with Balloons

It’s always so special when my previous newborn session clients come back to the Rockville photography studio to do their baby’s 1st birthday cake smash! I remember photographing this handsome little man at only a few weeks old. And just like that he’s a year old and ready for a celebration!

Just when I thought he couldn’t get any cuter, he got dressed up in a bowtie button-up shirt with shorts and suspenders for his pre-cake photos. He was happy playing with the stacking rings and wooden blocks, my go-to toy props for baby photo sessions. His mom and dad popped into a few photos to give him cuddles as well.

For the cake smash, Mom preferred a muted color combo of dusty blue, tan and white. The simple balloon arch with fairy lights and a one sign brought it all together. Baby boy looked super adorable in his overalls and a little birthday crown, even if he didn’t love smashing smashing into his blue ombre cake! Afterwards he hopped into the tub for some super cute bath time pictures.
