This mama is gorgeous! I just photographed her sweet baby boy - I will share his images soon! But I first wanted to share her beautiful maternity session….

These two didn’t mind the cold and winter weather here in Maryland at all. They snuggled up and just went with it. I typically suggest to do in-studio maternity portraits in the Winter due to how cold it can get here in the Maryland area, but this mama had a vision. As her maternity photographer, it’s my job to deliver images that tell her story as they waited for baby boy. I love how her session turned out and we executed just what she had in mind.

Beautiful Maternity Portraits

One of my favorite Rockville, Maryland locations to photograph was full of winter trees and tall grass to provide a dramatic backdrop rich with natural detail. Her fitted black dress coupled with her husband’s grey sweater went so well together and really helped make the look they were going for stand out. I also loved her dramatic makeup, especially her dark red lip color.

This location offered great variety for this Colorado couple. I love the snuggly feeling of the flannel blanket draped over her shoulders. It was the perfect addition to show off how cozy, close and warm this couple is to each other and their baby on the way! I even included an extra ‘magical’ image at the end to really make it feel like we were in a Colorado winter wonderland :) I cannot stress enough how important it is for my clients to share with me their vision for their portraits.
