New Light Wall Installed in the Rockville Photography Studio
Exciting news from the Rockville photography studio! We recently installed a LIGHT WALL to use in our studio photo sessions. It’s definitely a welcome addition to our current set-up, so we can now mimic the look of natural light with this new interior window.
It was a simple and straightforward process to put together. We attached LED light rods to the wall and connected them all together. Lots of layers of sheer white fabric to diffuse the light really helped get the soft light look we were going for. So far the light wall has been amazing to create whimsical dreamy backlit images for newborn and baby sessions, in a much easier way than we were doing it before. See below for a few examples of the light wall in finished images!
I just love the look of backlit portraits which I typically incorporate in my newborn and maternity sessions. The glow of the bright lights surrounding a family as they cradle their sleeping baby is beautiful. I’m having fun experimenting with different angles of shooting with the light as well. You’ll definitely be seeing more of it in action!
