Planning birthday parties for kids can become a little tricky each year. By the time they reach the pre-teen years, piñatas, balloons, and silly party favors just don’t bring excitement like they used to. But that doesn’t mean the party can’t go on. Pre-teen years are the best because you can get creative and make them extra special. Find a creative activity that represents your child’s developing personality to create memories that will last a lifetime! We helped this family celebrate their girl’s birthday with a one of a kind portrait party experience!

A Party Fit for a Princess, Or Thirteen!

This particular client knocked it out of the park by having her daughter’s birthday party at our studio! Each girl posed for glamour shots in front of a shimmering backdrop. The girls loved dressing up and strutting their stuff for the camera—a wonderful confidence booster for this age group. We also took group photos, and each girl posed for a special picture with the birthday girl. Images as party favors will end up as framed memories rather than a piece of plastic in the trash!

Becoming a teenager is no small feat. I still remember those days vividly, with quite a few of them ending up in tears from self-doubt or friendship struggles. It’s just hard.  This shoot was extra special for me because I know how what it’s like, especially for girls. I loved helping these girls feel like the dazzling young ladies that they are, inside and out. (Plus, Mom and Dad get some professional portraits of their beautiful birthday girl making memories with her friends—it can’t get any better than that!)
