Maryland Family Photographer | Outdoor Spring Family Mini Sessions 2019

We ran a few Spring mini session event dates this year with so many happy families. We loved every minute of it – capturing connections, crazy cute kids, and family relationships is the best. We had a wonderful mix of family combinations with kids of all ages. But no matter if they were 1, 5, or ten, all of the kiddos (and their parents) had fun playing and spending time together outdoors. We always try to keep our Maryland mini sessions as family-friendly, laidback, and as stress free as possible. We know how stressful it can be in the planning process, so once you arrive, it’s time to relax! Some families brought their dogs, and we saw several siblings dressed up in cute coordinating outfits. We had a mix of return clients and new clients, and all were a pleasure to work with!

This location worked out beautiful this year for the May set of sessions. It is especially pretty in the Springtime. Dots of wild yellow flowers cover the grassy green fields – the natural beauty provided a perfect touch of warmth for a nostalgic atmosphere for families. By the end of the month, the grass was so high! I made my clients trek through it, of course, but the kids had a blast! Huge trees that have been there for years gave us some extra shade, and the Spring weather couldn’t have been better. We really lucked out with the sunny days for every session date! This session location offers lots of variety and places to explore. We captured lots of sweet moments.   

In a few of the sessions, especially with the little kids and lovely mamas, we added a whimsical touch by incorporating a fun wicker swing covered in flowers. I’ve been wanting to use this swing and this season of outdoor sessions was the perfect time! The little girls looked and felt like princesses, and their moms looked so beautiful with them. It was a great opportunity to incorporate an element of fun to reveal natural smiles in a beautiful setting. We look forward to doing these sessions every year!
