Welcoming Baby Number Four | Maryland Newborn Photography

I always love watching how new additions change the family dynamics. A new baby adds another unique personality to the mix, and even a tiny newborn has the power to make the family unit feel totally different – in a good way! It’s like adding another puzzle piece you didn’t even know was missing, making the picture even more beautiful than before. As a newborn and family photographer, it’s a joy to capture those changes from year to year as families grow and new members are added. 

We've been working with this family for years, and now they have another sweet new baby to welcome. I know this is not factual, but for some reason, it seems like I more commonly see three boys with a surprise baby girl as the fourth, but this family is the opposite. This handsome little man is happily welcomed by three big sisters and two loving parents. He is surrounded by so much love and snuggles!

For this newborn session, the family joined in on the fun! They all came to visit the studio, and his sisters were so cute in their white bows and matching dresses. They were all so loveable with the new baby in their own special ways. The older sister’s personalities really shined through during the session. I’d like to say that it all went smoothly and everyone cooperated, but as you can imagine with four kids under age 8 - things don’t always go as planned. There were plenty of shenanigans and laughter and trying to corral everyone, but it was a blast!

It sure takes a lot of coordinating for a family of six! But it is all so worth it to have these images documented for the family and the future. What a joy it is to have a boy added to the family! I am so honored that this family chose me to document their special life moments. I love seeing them as the years go by and look forward to watching all of them grow.
